DRYCONDIS
Dissemination of the knowledge in the use of steel intensive dry construction systems in housing
Short description
The main innovation in this project is to introduce new construction systems which increase prefabrication and transfer on site construction to factory conditions. Therefore dry composite constructions systems can be considered innovations as such compared to traditional building construction based on masonry and concrete. Introduction of this innovation is obtained through making practical applications of the academic results in order to increase the knowledge within the construction industry. The most important results from the previously mentioned ECSC projects, on which this project is based, are: Light weight steel based flooring systems, arched roof systems, Steel based partitions, outer wall and facade structures with excel.
